EV sentiment tracker (Spring 2020)

Our self-funded national consumer sentiment tracker highlights what consumers really think about electric vehicles and the policies to move to a low carbon future. 


In this sixth wave of research, we found that consumers are increasingly becoming invested in the idea of EVs, especially if they are already environmentally engaged.


The challenge of readying infrastructure for uptake still remains and thus is seen as a barrier for those who cannot install a home charger. However, by dispelling myths and educating the public on the benefits of EVs, there is a greater likelihood of uptake in the future.
